Sound, Song and Silence
Singing has always helped me touch a deep sense of presence, and over the last 8 years I have been exploring the connection between mindfulness and voice and how they can both support and strengthen our experience of the other. My explorations have been deeply informed by the embodied presence work of Movement of Being, and my teachers Colin Harrison and Fanny Behrens.
How does it FEEL right now, in our bodies to be making this sound, learning this song, receiving this harmonic beauty? And when we use song as a grounding for a mediation can it support us landing more fully in the moment?
I run retreats regularly at Sharpham House and Bala Brook Retreat Centre.
The next one is over New Year at Bala Brook.
