Songs for Choirs
My songs have travelled far and wide, and are being shared in the true oral tradition, by ear, around campfires and at community and life events, and I love this! I believe in the power of song. I believe it is everyone's birthright, and I love that people enjoy singing and sharing my songs. And I am trying to find the balance between wanting people to sing my songs freely, and being valued for my gifts (and being able to pay my bills). So, if you have taught my songs, please consider supporting my song-writing by buying them, even if you already know them.....

Lift Your Voice In Song
This uplifting 4 part latin-groove-y song gets people's hips swaying and faces smiling!
Slightly more challenging than some of my other songs, because of the overlapping parts and unfamiliar rhythms, but still accessible to lots of groups, and worth the effort for the uplifting feeling when it comes together.
Feel free to play around with who sings which part and layer the parts in different combinations to create more variety.
Peace Be With You
A gentle song in 3 parts - English, Arabic, Hebrew - all saying "peace be with you".
It can be used as a greeting song or as a prayer for peace.
Each of the 3 parts has a melody that feels good to sing and is simple, while also being interesting rhythmically weaving together in a song that I think holds the heartbreak and the hope.
Fire In My Heart
An anthemic song for peace, in 4 interlocking parts. A favourite for many choirs. It is an easy learn song, with an upbeat, forward moving feeling. SATB
This Is A Wave, I Am The Ocean
Beautiful, peaceful song in 4 parts for supporting us through turbulent times.
This song is inspired by the embodied presence work called "Movement of Being", and by the profound, life changing words and teachings of my teachers Colin Harrison and Fanny Behrens. “You are not a boat being tossed about on the waves. And you are not the waves crashing against the rocks. You are the vast ocean - that all the waves arise in, that holds the boat, that just is... ”
Although this songs has 2 sections it also works for a short or one-off workshop, just teaching the Melody, Low Harmony, and the Middle Harmony and only Section A. If it's going well I will add in the High Harmony.
If I have taught Section B, I will sing each section twice through and cycle between them.
Love Is Love!
An upbeat and inclusive LGBT+ anthem in 4 parts with 3 verses inspired by historical and iconic quotes.
Love is love, gay is like glitter, hope is never silent, and have courage my brother/sister/sibling...

May There Be Peace
A simple soothing, chant-like song in 3 parts. This song was inspired by the Buddhist "Metta Meditation", also known as the “loving kindness meditation”.
Earth's Child
A simple, powerful, earth honouring song and a call to action.
With 4 unique interweaving parts.
Grace (Move In Me)
The Basses have the tune in this secular, but gospel style song. It has a soothing, heart warming groove and is an easy song to learn in a workshop, or over one or two choir sessions. This can easily be done as an SSAA arrangement and it is also nice to split the altos and have some of them do the "tune" or bass part.
For other verses you can exchange the word grace for words such as love, peace, joy etc.
Hold You In Our Circle
A simple 3 part song that is easy to pick up and share with the potent intention of holding each other, or a specific person, in the love of the circle. Written over 20 years ago for a friend's wedding it has since been sung at baby blessings, funerals, healing ceremonies, community events and more.
